They are not necessarily the biggest African animals, but represented those that were considered a real hunter’s worthy prey or “game” – the African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhinoceros, Leopard and king of the jungle, the Lion (which of course doesn’t inhabit jungle but savanna!). Tell me, what happens if we rip away hunting when hunting protects more wildlife land in Africa than national parks? The killing of Cecil was equated with murder, a moral crime rather than a symptom of a ecological problem. There is a reason we talk about wildlife and habitat conservation, not wildlife and habitat preservation.

And the two species were not inclined to get on, by which I mean that Lions will kill other large predators including Painted Wolves. It was Falakhe, who had dragged himself twenty kilometers on two broken legs past Hyaenas, Lions, Leopards and jackals. Support Wildlife ACT in supporting them. Her concern was well founded.

I was attending the 3rd Global Bird-watching Conference in Gujarat and suddenly surrounded not just be species that were completely new, but entire families of birds. My fiance and I drove nearly two hours to the Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area in rural Indiana to watch them come in for the evening.

The definition of the word HUNT is “to chase or search for game or other wild animals for the purpose of catching or killing.” One is defined as catching or killing and the other as keeping from injury. People don’t respect wildlife. ” Obviously the dictionary does not equate hunting with conservation.
