Where the skilled spotter finds needles in haystacks and picks out rarities from more plentiful species. The day ended with multiple lifers for many, as well any good pelagic should.

The Horned Guan in Chiapas

Today it is placed in its own monotypic genus, Oreophasis , and loosely grouped with the present day curassows and chachalacas. Horned Guan (Click for a bigger version.).
