As we wandered along the trail we soon encountered family groups of both White-winged Fairywrens and Variegated Fairywrens. Little Black Cormorants and Australian Pelican. Australian Pelicans soaring in the thermals. Feral pigs. We knew we may get wet, but we also may experience different birds in a cooler environment.
