mikey, my stance can be seen in the posts about Project Treadstone (and if you type Project Treadstone into the Google Search box just below my half-blind, diabetic greyhound, Violet Rays, on the right, you'll get a dozen more posts). However, I don't think (and as you allude to) the situation is black and white.

So here I am, on the third anniversary of Animal Person, asking for advice that has nothing to do with veganism or animal rights (and I've tweeted about this so some of you already know what's coming). And on a down note, Gray Momma of Project Treadstone was hit by a car and euthanized a couple of days ago.

From the feral cats of Project Treadstone to Charles' back surgery to problems with Violet's Vetsulin (insulin for dogs), we had more than our share of issues. Both of those events required the dreaded "cone. I have some left but wanted to save it in the event that the transition didn't work and I needed to buy some time.
