PETA was trying to get the information to find out why the university is buying cats and dogs from a West Texas animal shelter for university training or research. About a year ago I posted information about the launch of a new stem cell therapy for dogs ( Vet-Stem ). Vet-stem also just recently announced a new study that shows that 60 percent of the dogs treated by Vet-Stem now use a decreased amount of pain medication or no medicine at all.

The animals are given shelter, vaccinated, medically evaluated, housed, and fed until they are reunited with their owners or adopted into loving homes.
