It is simply projustice, insisting only that the scope of justice be seen to include respect for the rights of animals.

More important, it might be a much more efficient means of changing practice to stage protests at meat-packing companies, put pressure on congressmen, and work through existing humane organizations. It’s a matter of expending one’s resources in accordance with one’s values. Certainly, not eating meat could have this protest function.
