On Wipeout and Lion Burgers

Finally, in my e-mailbox this morning, and probably in yours, was the Care2 newsletter, including a link to a column about a restaurant in Arizona that will soon serve burgers made from lion meat. They're from a legal farm in Illinois, so the law isn't the reason. I was curious about why it's so terrible to eat lions.

It's Back! The Horror of Horse Slaughter in DeKalb

Since it is illegal to sell horse meat for human consumption in the U.S., This bill amends the Illinois Horse Meat Act by banning the slaughter of horses for human consumption and also banning the possession, import or export of horse meat for human consumption. On May 24, Governor Rod Blagojevich signed the bill into law.
