I only scored 43 in March, but that was because I was away birding in Portugal and Estonia. A single Eleonora’s Falcon was a very pleasing if not unexpected, and a year-tick. My overseas trips did boost the overall year list considerably. The temperature rarely climbed above freezing, and birding was hard work. Where had it bred?
