Another example would be the Eagle Lady in Alaska. Jean Keane lived in Home and one day she noticed a couple of eagles near her home, started to put out some fish for them and then several years later she’s a hot tourist attraction using a stockpile of freezer burned fish from a local company to feed over 200 Bald Eagles a day.

They were joined by hoards of Common Redpoll and Black-capped Chickadee , along with Red-breasted Nuthatch , Downy Woodpecker , and Hairy Woodpecker. It was the Snowy Owl, taking no chances while an immature Bald Eagle was passing by. Within minutes, I spotted a crisp, cold white bird flying right in front of the car.

The entire migratory season will bring hoards of birds passing over. And this is really just the tip of the iceberg, there are also francolins, pelicans, storks, vultures, eagles out the wazoo…but that’s a blog entry for another time. Even the brown birds are fun like this Crested Lark.
