It's a city in Florida on our largest lake, Lake Okeechobee. There are likely 30 unsterilized cats remaining, but they're doing a very good job of avoiding yours truly. Here's the biggest feral cat I've ever seen, who looks like somebody's house cat. I hadn't realized how enormous eagles are; they dwarf hawks.

In other words what are the chances of one of these extremely remote species showing up in a less remote place – like my backyard in Lake Worth, Florida? There were birders from a wide cross-section of the United States: Colorado, Ohio, Idaho, Iowa, Wyoming, Washington State, Pennsylvania, New York State, New Jersey, California, Texas, Florida. They range from the successful eradication of feral cats from Marion Island (hear that, Corey?) And then there were the Flamingos.
