Invasive species in Australia

European Red Foxes were brought into Australia in the 1850′s for recreational hunting and soon spread rapidly. There are wild dogs present and these are not the dingo, but a dog that was also brought to Australia by Europeans in 1788 and has spread throughout the country. Feral cat predation on Pied Oystercatcher eggs.
