As a breed, pit bulls have a bad rap. Many shelters do not intake pit bulls at all, and many of the shelters that do find themselves limited in their intake by state regulations or their own policies that dictate pit bull capacity. Evaluate the Pit Bull before Doing Anything.

One day while I was volunteering I met a little pit bull puppy who was recovering from a spaying. Someone had called in an animal cruelty report. Very sweet and gentle animal (I have a soft spot for pits.and pugs!) The puppy seemed too thin to me so I asked about her story. All eight of the puppies were in foster care.
