As a breed, pit bulls have a bad rap. Many shelters do not intake pit bulls at all, and many of the shelters that do find themselves limited in their intake by state regulations or their own policies that dictate pit bull capacity. Evaluate the Pit Bull before Doing Anything.

I rejoined my local animal shelter's volunteer program a few months ago (long story as to why I quit in the first place). One day while I was volunteering I met a little pit bull puppy who was recovering from a spaying. Someone had called in an animal cruelty report. All eight of the puppies were in foster care.

Post a picture on Susan Wilson’s Facebook page and explanation of how your dog (or turtle, or human, etc!) She goes to the door, rejects the notion of going out, turns toward her dinner; goes back to the door, because clearly this human is not listening. The work of shelters and breed rescue organizations is vital.
