Canadian police are investigating the reported killing of 100 huskies which had been used to pull tourist sleds in the ski resort of Whistler. An animal rights group claims the dogs were killed inhumanely by an outdoor adventure company and thrown into a mass grave. Bad allegations connected to Whistler. Full article at the BBC News.

Good news following an investigation of farm animal abuses by Mercy for Animals. In a written statement the company said it was making the move after an investigation revealed that Radlo Foods violated the terms of an agreement by working with a farm that is not in compliance with its strict animal welfare standards.

But within the last year, an animal cruelty investigation almost shut one down because spikes were being used to antagonize the bull. Next time, though, I might want to hook up with an animal rights group to protest. This was a clear violation of animal law. They are just stupid and really have nothing to do with religion.

The meat and dairy industries want to keep their operations away from the public’s discriminating eyes, but as groups like PETA and the Humane Society have shown us in their graphic and disturbing undercover investigations, factory farms are mechanized madness and slaughterhouses are torture chambers to these unfortunate and feeling beings.
