I long for the realistic hope that one second will pass without torture and slaughter and enslavement, and I know perfectly well that that second, despite Earth Days and Earth Hours and Meat-Free Days, isn't going to happen. In other words, I don't immerse myself in animal cruelty. People are simply too selfish. What to do.
