I would also love to have more documentation of the many books, articles, research points, and stories that Dunn relates, at the very least a list of sources. Is all that material on Selkirk needed? Still, I would really love to see this in some form.

Miniature Manakins

On a recent filming trip with Tropical Birding in Ecuador I had the awesome experience of getting up close and personal with two bizarre manakin species. This bird is a Choco endemic found only in northwest Ecuador and southwest Colombia. These are just a few of the questions that come to mind when watching these bizarre little birds.

Ochre-breasted Antpitta : Ok, I have to admit that I’m less sure about this one being different from the taxa often seen by birders in Mindo, Colombia, and Peru.
