Niman for pasturing the animals to provide all the beef, turkey, chicken and pork eaten in this country? There is little that is less polluting and less harmful to the planet than hunting wild game responsibly. Can anyone in good conscience be complicit with the unnecessary suffering and slaughter of another sentient being?

That’s what you do with other game, right? You can designate it thus; you can legally call it a Rhode Island Red chicken if you want, but no whooping crane on this planet is nonessential. All of them had successfully learned the skills we taught them to forage in “safe&# areas and avoid humans. It flies on.

Let the games begin. We give them human names and provide them with the same amenities we enjoy as humans. All we do as vegans is take a reality--the reality of the sentience of cats, dogs, horses, chickens, sheep, cows, etc. We have a tendency as a society to anthropomorphize our animals, especially our pets.
