Lately it’s almost certainly my young son’s cry of “kitty-cat bird!&# Where I grew up in Missouri, Catbirds were present, but not in the same density that I find here in North Carolina. As a kid and teenager, I’d listen to the St. Louis Cardinals on the radio in Ozark, Missouri.
