With the geese rediscovered, an intensive campaign to remove introduced foxes began, and many geese were relocated from Buldir Island to islands they formerly inhabited. But within a couple of decades, it’s effects on both wildlife and humanity became apparent. It was thought of as a wonder-chemical, with no ill effects.
