Turns out the founder of TRC and many the vets who worked in clinic were falconers as well. Here are some myths: Falconry birds are essentially pets. Many get their birds from breeders. Then I started volunteering at The Raptor Center to give educational programs with live birds of prey and my trainer was a master falconer.
