What to Do at High Island When the Winds are South

On a second visit I spotted a fishing boat going east along the channel followed by over a hundred gulls and terns, including over 40 Black Terns. They did flush eventually, but not because of humans. At the end of the road, we found two Nelson’s Sparrows who quickly flew out to a tiny bit of land in the channel.
