It is a bit worrying that while the Basel Zoo is listed by Google as having a page on the Red-tailed Laughingthrush , that page itself does not seem to exist anymore, and the species is not listed among the inhabitants of the aviary of the zoo. His obituary was published in Nature. Note to those readers who do not know Wham!:

Due to disturbance by fishermen, habitat destruction and nest robbing for zoos and bird collections, the Shoebill is now classified as vulnerable. It should sensibly occur in the vast Okavango Swamps of Botswana, but all records from this region have been discarded.
