This laughingthrush is a cooperative breeder – nestlings are fed by all members of a group, often 6-12 (not just 2 as in Wham!) : “A female may share a nest with another, and 3 or more adults may take turns incubating the eggs and feeding the chicks.” Note to those readers who do not know Wham!: ” ( source ).

Apparently, some bird photographers think that any human artifacts shown on a bird photo immediately spoil the whole photo. Glad I did not have to watch these.

You can also see the owl not moving much in a short video. Apparently , the two main factors influencing double brooding are the individual quality of the breeder and the timing of the first clutch. It did not seem to bother the owl much though. Oh, the excitement. The Siberian Blue Robin is another indicator of spring for me.
