And if that’s not enough good news for you, this just in: a brand-new bird species (the Cambodian Tailorbird , one of only two endemics in the country) has been discovered living right in Cambodia’s capitol city of Phnom Penh ! The rest of Mexico is not included, nor is Hawaii (which isn’t in North America, after all, but has been accepted as part of the American Birding Association area). Interestingly, Chestnut-collared Longspur does appear under its brand-new official name, Thick-billed Longspur, though the description underneath uses the old name.
