Interestingly, Chestnut-collared Longspur does appear under its brand-new official name, Thick-billed Longspur, though the description underneath uses the old name. Bald Eagle, for example, is still said to be “formerly more widespread” though the range map shows expansion. There is nothing wrong with this.
