The new Lifers are the Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Short-tailed Hawk, Mississippi Kites, Juniper Titmouse and Painted Buntings! As it sits right now, I will lose most of the month of September to house projects, and two different weddings out of the state of Arizona, but who knows, maybe I can find some cools birds in other states for a change!

Brown Pelicans , and the northernmost Brown Booby breeding colony on this side of the Pacific. But meanwhile, let’s look at the four avian families that comprise the brand new order Suliformes. Ringer Gannets and Boobies (Sulidae) Black-and-white gannets breed on the cold, rocky coasts of the northern and southern oceans.

To be fair, I could and should have also grabbed The Shorebird Guide for the Greenshank and Collin’s Bird Guide, 2nd edition for both birds, but the Nat Geo was right there next to me, where your favorite field guides should be.).
