This is all in a day’s work and a typical morning here at the Tambopata Research Center in the Madre de Dios district of Peru where, on behalf of the conservation agency Earthwatch Institute , I have come to volunteer for two weeks for the Tambopata Macaw Project. Spring is the perfect season to take this book for a spin!

I've decided to quit my book club, which I dearly love, because of a member who works in medical research and supports animal experimentation. Then I read more about what's happening at the New Iberia Research Center in Louisiana. I think the time has come for me to leave the book club.
