Second of all, Lewis’s Woodpeckers are birds of the west and they rarely stray to New York State. Third of all, the bird that was first seen on 30 October is, as of this blog posting, STILL THERE! He lives in Forest Hills with Daisy, their son, Desmond Shearwater, and their two indoor cats, Hunter and B.B. I disapprove.
