If you'll indulge me I would like to compliment you on your blog. I've been an ethical vegan for 12 years; for me it was a straightforward transition. Animal Ethics helps me formalize my position so I can be a more effective advocate. I'm sure your blog helps many people contemplating vegetarianism/veganism.

Many, if not most, of the meat eaters I know are deeply concerned about the fact that the animals they eat are raised in factory farm conditions. They realize that factory farming is inhumane. And they certainly wouldn't hurt anybody; that's what those big factory farms do that aren't owned by families. But now I think about all of that being done to my daughter and I must say the disgust I experience at the notion that a family farm is somehow a wholesome place is a bit overwhelming. But so are family farms.
