What started as me posting a link on my private Facebook page about how much I hate the Transportation Security Administration, quickly turned into a very revealing conversation about race and could be a very large and underlying issue of why we don’t see more people of color in birding or enjoying nature in general. I was taken aback.

A birder can participate in Global Big Day (GBD) by eBirding as much or as little as one feels like doing but why not just go all in and give yourself over to birding? To bird until we drop?

The law of diminishing returns brings the inevitability of repeat sightings and has checked the momentum of the combined beats’ list for June.
