Lisa had climbed down too, and the Nature Center worker had gone for tools. It wasn’t until Eric carefully picked up the bird that we could see that it hadn’t been trapped in a rock crevasse, the expected problem. It is a filter feeder, not a bird eater. But, it is a documented bird threat!
