The only cool thing is that Gene Bauer's views on the meat industry are so similar to those expressed on this blog a few weeks ago. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, “farm animals are regulated under the Animal Welfare Act (AWA) only when used in biomedical research, testing, teaching and exhibition.

Scientist Advocacy Group Oppose Some Animal Testing

I found a link to them on ANIMAL's blog (ANIMAL is a Portuguese animal rights group.) They do support some animal-based studies (which sucks); HOWEVER, they acknowledge that much animal research is useless. Here's a group I've never heard of. These scientists are NOT an animal rights group.
