Most often encountered near to the village bearing the same name, this abundant grasshopper ultimately sprouts large wings and forms swarms which can decimate crops. But little has been said about its ecological function.

Flycatchers in the Cocoa

For the purpose of this post being of a reasonable length, I’m only going to touch on members of the Tyrannidae family of New World Flycatchers which can be found in the cocoa estates of Trinidad and Tobago. It bears an uncanny resemblance to the extremely common Great Kiskadee ! Yellow-breasted Flycatcher. Piratic Flycatcher.
