This is the third year that my family and some our close friends did a vacation together. Last year it was New Providence in the Bahamas. We got off the ferry and, seeing as we only had about half-an-hour to drive before we were at our hotel, we decided to explore a bit at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge.

In spite of this New Zealand does have an iconic family of birds that has served as an emblem for the country for over a century, the kiwi. Fish & Wildlife comes in response to a lawsuit brought by the Center for Biological Diversity. Wicked, right? They would all be wrong, as New Zealand has no official National Bird.
