It’s a frustrating thing, knowing there are exciting animals out there to be seen and being stuck back at base. Cardinal Woodpecker. Even a Leopard Tortoise dropped by! I wasn’t going to be seeing a Cheetah on my ass back at camp! Fortunately, if I couldn’t go to the bush, the bush could come to me.

Last month woodpeckers, this month penguins. They are software mascots, cartoon characters, animated film dancers, children’s book heroes, zoo celebrities, and documentary film stars.
