At an NYC puppy shelter a few weeks ago, my mind was just about made up when I met Chester – The cutest Lab puppy I’d ever seen. His large pouty eyes, silky fur-coat, and silly little paws on which he fumbled all over the hay-covered kennel, lured me in like a dog to a bone. The following is a guest post from Kevin Sloan.

Barth is also writing a second book: Covered in Fur: Lessons Learned Living With Six Dogs. My vet smiled when he met Rascal. My vet chuckled as he bent down to listen to her heart. The non profit animal shelter that had Rascal was run by a state trooper. Rascal mouthed the puppies from the last litter here.
