Though they are getting harder to find, Paul Matschie named the cross-river gorilla a new species in 1904. These gorillas have black or brownish-gray fur. The face, hands, and feet don’t have any fur at all, though. These gorillas live in groups of two to twenty and are extremely gregarious animals.
