Birding by bear is by far the best way to view the park, although it seems to terrify the hoofed animals. No one, aside from your therapist, wants to spend time with a Debbie Downer. Holy cow, there’s not even a dihedryl on that thing, its really flat. Birdmaster would be more appropriate, but I do not mind.

To the Editor: Re “ A Case of Abuse, Heightened ,” by Joe Nocera (Talking Business column, March 8): Mr. Nocera tells us that most slaughterhouses don’t mistreat animals or funnel sick downer cows into the food chain. Oh, really? He might have prevented the recall of 143 million pounds of beef.
