During our time travels, we would note vast changes in many other birds and animals. Part of that recognition is assessing which types of plants and animals are more threatened than others.

However, there are those species which have a hard time bringing attention to themselves such as Yellow-shouldered Blackbird , Giant Nuthatch , and Vinaceous-breasted Parrot. Through centuries of deforestation, only 7% of this forest’s original area remains in remnants scattered within the most densely populated region of Brazil.

However, even within Brazil, very few people are aware of Brazil’s Cerrado: a biome of expansive grasslands dotted with termite mounds, lightly wooded savannas, and ribbons of gallery forest along permanent sources of water. A pair of birds was lovingly caressing each other, culminating in copulation.
