I don't support animal research and I have no sympathy for animal researchers. I don't believe they want an honest dialogue about what they are doing to animals. I don't believe they are "brave" for "standing up" to animal rights activists. I would never advocate violence against a researcher.

New Book on Ethics of Meat-Eating

I'm trying to come up with a book for my book club about animal rights. One is a huge supporter of animal research. But now we have "Eating Animals,"by Jonathan Safran Foer. What do I choose? All of them are meat eaters, two because their "doctors" told them they had to eat meat.

I've finally decided to take the plunge and really learn about animal experimentation. Apparently, there is a lot of argument out there than animal experimentation is even good for humans. A drug may work on an animal, but fail miserably on a human. Many times tests fail. Many times tests fail. Or vice versa.
