All I know is that the majority of vegetarians, ex-vegetarians, animal rights supporters, animal rescuers, animal shelter volunteers, and feral cat colony stewards that I know are women. Tags: animal rights. Frankly, I don't know. Not all, but the majority.

From the vegan equals vegetarian discussion, to the nonviolence does or doesn't include property damage, to certain abolitionists deciding that they are in fact the only real abolitionists, it has gotten comical. I'd rather trap a feral cat and have her spayed. Or bake some vegan cookies for a vegetarian friend who's convinced that she cannot survive without eggs and butter. I'm not saying give up on "animal rights," either. Arguing about that line with other vegans, though, doesn't interest me.
