From the better late then never category, the ALDF is having a National Justice for Animals Week to raise awareness about animal abuse. Adam was rescued by an 11-year-old boy who also later identified the girls who committed the crime, allowing them to be charged with felony animal cruelty.

These poor animals are literally running for their lives and we must do everything we can to educate people about their suffering and exploitation and work towards ending this horribly cruel activity because many people out there just don't know any different, so we must be the greyhound's best advocate and use our voice for theirs.

Causing an animal to suffer for no good reason is cruel, and our ordinary commonsense morality tells us in no uncertain terms that cruelty is wrong. It is not just a few outspoken animal rights fanatics who hold this view. Animal abuse is a crime in all fifty states, and rightly so.
