I realize I’m not in Kansas (well, California) anymore. Alas, as the decade progressed, I also saw the site degenerate. When it became too much to bear, I stayed away from Pino Real for 18 months. I start visiting a nearby canyon to see what other species might be around. A gorgeous Squirrel Cuckoo blows my mind.
