Barb looked like the kind of woman who would own a pit bull or a German shepherd. He was always immaculately groomed with an AKC show cut. Then I noticed that several family members were also nursing bleeding wounds. I gave the shelter a call, expecting to hear the worst. I swore and jumped back.
