Based on his own experiences teaching ornithology to high school students in California, he believes that high school student often just need the spark of an interesting elective class that fills a graduation requirement. And, let me tell you, it was an amazing trip with gorgeous scenery, lots of cool mammals, and, of course, a whole big bunch of birds! Our time there was easily my favorite of the trip what with the breathtaking landscapes, amazing mammals, and our first ever geysers. Clark’s Nutcrackers are one of my favorite birds.
