The moral of the story is that it's all about the way we farm animals, not that we farm them that is what needs changing. Film is a visual medium and through direction, dialogue, editing, music and any effects, the filmmaker presents (in this case) his agenda. And then the way we eat causes diabetes.

It's a book about societal collapses resulting from poor decisions about the environment, resource-use, etc. And those scientists are humans with the same motivations and agendas as any other human.
