In my view, the ABA should strongly consider: (1) becoming more welcoming to new birders, and (2) increasing and formalizing ABA advocacy on issues relevant to birders. * * *. The content of Birding was daunting, with detailed articles distinguishing seemingly identical birds. Young birders and new birders are not the same thing.
