Guinea pigs also do not bite, unlike hamsters and gerbils which can tend to be nippy. I strongly encourage people to adopt pound and shelter animals. With purebred animals, it is especially important to do your research and make sure the pet fits your family’s lifestyle. If the animal gets sick at least seek treatment.
