A parent bird’s instinct to feed and protect their young is very strong, and they will not willingly abandon their babies. Bird brought in by a cat or dog. Call and transport the bird to a bird rehabber ASAP. Suspect” dog or cat interactions. Unfortunately a bird’s nest location is not always perfect.

And of course, shuttling wildlife to and fro, and contemplating their place in our lives and our place in theirs.
