This odd weekend began with the end of March, which didn’t exactly go out like a lamb, and ended with the beginning of April. Only January commences with more fanfare and merriment than April. My first year on eBird, 2012, exactly 20 people submitted checklists for the entire state. Lamb, who surveyed the birds of western Mexico from 1932-1955, and whose lists have been posted on eBird in recent years. I am not very good at learning to ID birds by song or call. But my home is not in the U.S. or the U.K.;

After a bit of searching, I found that it appears to be part of an even longer commandment: “Rise and rise again until lambs become lions” This is pretty serious stuff coming from a can of beer; all I wanted was a drink, thank you. The Bible, possibly, with all this quasi-Messianic, New Testament talk of lambs and lions?
